It was a good run, but the Ponderosa Mustangs unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Northfield by a score of 69-67. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Perhaps the best among those players was Carson Keach, who scored 23 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The contest was Keach's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Noah Wilhelm was another key contributor, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds.

Justus Michael continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northfield, scoring 24 points. The match was Michael 's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Daquan Slayton, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and four steals.

Ponderosa will head out on the road to face off against Thomas Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Allowing an average of 52.7 points per game, Thomas Jefferson has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this contest. As for Northfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Westminster at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Westminster will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Northfield is ranked 30th).
