Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Independence). They walked away with a 16-12 victory over the Heritage Coyotes on Tuesday. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 win the Coyotes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Independence and bumps their season record up to 5-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Heritage, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10-1 record this season.

Independence will have a chance to go back-to-back against Heritage: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
