Football Recap: Joliet West Takes a Loss

Joliet West was the 42-14 winner over Plainfield East when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers lost 27-7 to the Bengals on Friday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

David Croom continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Plainfield East, rushing for 154 yards and two TDs. Croom is becoming a predictor of the Bengals' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

Joliet West's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5. As for Plainfield East, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record.

Joliet West wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 31-7 victory against Plainfield Central on the 17th. As for Plainfield East, they have also already played their next game, a 30-13 win against Romeoville on the 17th.
