Basketball Recap: Finn Henderson Key Part of a Team Effort in Rebels Win

Reeltown hadn't done well against Beauregard recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Reeltown Rebels secured a 57-51 W over the Beauregard Hornets. This was payback for the Rebels, who suffered a 70-69 loss the last time these two teams met.

Reeltown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Finn Henderson led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Henderson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Demetrius Brown, who posted 19 points and six rebounds.

The victory got Reeltown back to even at 1-1. As for Beauregard, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Reeltown didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-51 defeat against Central of Coosa County on the 17th. Beauregard and Dadeville will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
