Miley Poindexter was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Ary'Annah Freeman also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Springport strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Reading a 15-0 shutout. Fans of the Spartans have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
