Basketball Recap: Cedar Bluffs Takes a Loss

Cedar Bluffs lost against College View Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cedar Bluffs Wildcats lost 57-37 to the College View Academy Eagles.

Despite the defeat, Cedar Bluffs saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carter Eiring went 9 for 15 on his way to 22 points. Trey Arnold also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Cedar Bluffs' loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for College View Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Cedar Bluffs will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Newman Grove/St. Edward at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. As for College View Academy, they will take on Brownell Talbot in a tournament on Thursday.
