Baseball Game Preview: Northwest Christian Crusaders vs. ALA - Ironwood Warriors

The Northwest Christian Crusaders will square off against the ALA - Ironwood Warriors at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Northwest Christian will be strutting in after a victory while ALA - Ironwood will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Northwest Christian needed a bit of extra time to put away Benjamin Franklin. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 5-2. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, ALA - Ironwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 9-5 to Payson.

Jackson Watson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kayden Brais, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

ALA - Ironwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Northwest Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.

Northwest Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against ALA - Ironwood in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
