Baseball Recap: White House-Heritage Takes Down Liberty Creek in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, White House-Heritage rose to the challenge on Saturday. They never let the Liberty Creek Wolves get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won five matches in a row.

The result came thanks to Nate Dixon's shutout, as he gave up just six hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, White House-Heritage's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Max DeHaven, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases DeHaven has posted since back in March. Another was Cayden Waggoner, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

White House-Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 26-9. As for Liberty Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8-1 record this season.

White House-Heritage will square off against Stratford on Wednesday. Liberty Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
