Recap: Lake Placid Dragons vs. Mulberry Panthers
The Lake Placid Dragons's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 33-20 victory over Mulberry. The win was just what Lake Placid needed coming off of a 49-14 defeat in their prior contest.
Leading Lake Placid to victory were Edwin Williams and Aj Felton. Williams rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, while Felton rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns.
Defeat or not, Mulberry got some senior leadership from Dj Duvalt who rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries and Dyvonique McWilliams who rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Duvalt is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Lake Placid's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Mulberry, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
Lake Placid does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mulberry will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Verot at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Verot will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
