Volleyball Recap: MMI Preparatory School Takes a Loss

MMI Preparatory School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Hazleton Area Cougars, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to MMI Preparatory School of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-8, 25-12.

Cassidy McDermott paced MMI Preparatory School's offense, picking up six kills. McDermott got some help from Victoria Park and her six assists. Finally, McDermott was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

MMI Preparatory School's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Hazleton Area, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

MMI Preparatory School has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Delaware Valley on the 9th. As for Hazleton Area, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Wyoming Area on the 15th.
