Softball Game Preview: Early College Sharks vs. Le Roy Oatkan Knights

The Early College Sharks will head out on the road to face off against the Le Roy Oatkan Knights at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Early College has given up an average of 11 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Early College and School of the Arts, and School of the Arts kept the tradition alive. The Sharks lost 20-8 to the Silverhawks on Thursday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Le Roy). They blew past Dansville 20-5 on Monday. The Oatkan Knights haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Le Roy pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Early College, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Early College suffered a grim 18-0 defeat to Le Roy when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Sharks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
