Soccer Recap: Gilmer Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ridgeland last Friday, Gilmer came back down to earth. Gilmer came up short against the Northwest Whitfield Bruins on Tuesday, falling 5-0. The defeat continues a trend for Gilmer in their meetings with Northwest Whitfield: they've now lost six in a row.

Gilmer's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Northwest Whitfield, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Gilmer will head out to take on LaFayette at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwest Whitfield, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dalton at 5:30 p.m. on April 8.
