Softball Recap: Poteet Falls Short of Crandall in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Poteet couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crandall on Friday. The loss continues a trend for Poteet in their meetings with Crandall: they've now lost six in a row.

Poteet's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Crandall, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-10 record this season.

Poteet does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crandall, they will square off against Hallsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
