Recap: Northland Christian Cougars vs. Lutheran North Lions
The Northland Christian Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 103-49 defeat at the hands of Lutheran North. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Northland Christian has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Northland Christian still got an impressive performance from Andon "AJ" Newton, who scored 21 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Newton has scored all season. Maddox Pallanez was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Northland Christian's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-14. As for Lutheran North, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northland Christian will take on Alpha Omega Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lutheran North, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against St. Francis Episcopal at 7:30 p.m.
