Basketball Recap: Hundred Takes a Loss

Hundred was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were beaten by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 64-17. The Hornets lost against the Fighting Irish in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 37-23 score last time.

Despite the loss, Hundred still got an impressive performance from Johni Yeager, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Yeager has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times she's played. Aliyah Shreve was another key player, putting up six points.

It was another big night for Selena Wilson, who almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds for Notre Dame. Another player making a difference was Piper Fryer, who posted eight points in addition to eight steals and five assists.

Hundred's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Notre Dame, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hundred will head out to take on Meadow Bridge at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Notre Dame, they are taking a road trip to challenge Pendleton County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
