Football Recap: Powell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Powell duked it out with Lander Valley on Friday. The Panthers had to suffer through a 48-7 loss at the hands of the Tigers. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-0.

Tanner Seifert threw for 41 yards on four of 14 attempts. Rowan Diaz was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards. On the ground, Lincoln Crawford rushed for 94 yards.

Lander Valley found their leader in sophomore Tjacks Tjacks, who picked up 53 receiving yards, and also rushed for 45 yards.

Powell is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Lander Valley, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Powell will look to defend their home field on Friday against Douglas at 6:00 p.m. As for Lander Valley, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Evanston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
