Baseball Recap: Chuckey-Doak Has No Trouble Against North Greene

Chuckey-Doak won the last time they faced North Greene and things went their way on Friday too. The Black Knights were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Huskies. Considering the Black Knights have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kiptyn Ball made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Hinkle, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Shane Cook also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Chuckey-Doak kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Chuckey-Doak's record now sits at 15-11. As for North Greene, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.
