Basketball Recap: Port Washington Comes Up Short

Port Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 62-54 to the West Bend West Spartans. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 75-63.

Port Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for West Bend West, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Port Washington will welcome Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Port Washington is facing Hartford at the right time seeing as Hartford is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for West Bend West, they are taking a road trip to challenge Grafton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in West Bend West's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
