Football Recap: Mcdowell's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

McDowell had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 35-19 victory over the North Buncombe Black Hawks. That's more bragging rights for the Titans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

McDowell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Danny Charles Brown out in front who threw for 369 yards and one TD while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 32 yards and one score. Those 369 passing yards gave Charles Brown a new career-high. A healthy portion of Charles Brown's aerial production (98 yards to be exact) went to Jayden Whitesides.

McDowell's record is now 4-1. As for North Buncombe, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

McDowell and North Buncombe will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Titans will challenge rival South Caldwell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Buncombe is set to take on their familiar foe Enka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
