Recap: Crown Point Panthers vs. Schroon Lake Wildcats
The Crown Point Panthers had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They managed a 61-56 victory over Schroon Lake. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Crown Point's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trevor Harris, who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Harris has scored at least a third of Crown Point's points. Reese Pertak was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Crown Point pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Schroon Lake, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Crown Point on the road again on Wednesday and play against Plattsburgh at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th. One thing working in Plattsburgh's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Schroon Lake, they will be playing at home against Saranac at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Saranac is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
