Prairie Heights is 1-9 against Churubusco since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers will welcome the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Churubusco took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Prairie Heights, who comes in off a win.
Prairie Heights is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Elkhart Christian Academy with a sharp 16-4 win on Saturday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Braydon Duke made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Prairie Heights got a massive performance out of Joel Graber, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Graber a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Abbott, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Prairie Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Churubusco nor Heritage made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Eagles fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 5-3. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Bransen Hart was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Churubusco is 3-1 when Hart posts three or more hits, but 2-12 otherwise. Brody Lawrence was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Prairie Heights' win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Churubusco, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Prairie Heights has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Churubusco struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
