The Belleview Rattlers will take on the Williston Mighty Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Belleview's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Lake Weir 15-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rattlers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Shea Young and Larry Quartararo were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Young tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Quartararo pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave Young a new career-high in strikeouts (three). At the plate, Young got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Quartararo got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ja'Mere Frymire, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Chen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
Belleview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Williston got the win against Interlachen on Thursday by a conclusive 14-3.
Colby Jansen was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Williston's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-9 when he doesn't). Kenan Bellamy was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Belleview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Williston, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Belleview has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .451. However, it's not like Williston struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Belleview came out on top in a nail-biter against Williston when the teams last played back in February, sneaking past 7-6. Do the Rattlers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mighty Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
