Baseball Recap: Somerset Takes a Loss

Somerset was the 4-1 winner over Osceola when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell just short of the Chieftains by a score of 5-3 on Thursday.

Somerset saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kane Donnelly, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Somerset's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Osceola, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-9.

While Somerset had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
