Baseball Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Marshalltown on Tuesday, Newton came back down to earth. The Cardinals fell just short of the Norwalk Warriors by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Norwalk, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat Newton by a score of 7-4 later that day.
