Football Game Preview: Fairfield Tigers vs. Holt Ironmen + How To Watch

The Fairfield Tigers will face off against the Holt Ironmen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Fairfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Selma, posting a 51-24 win. The Tigers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 1, 2024 (when they won 36-0).

It was another big night for Justin Murray, who rushed for 261 yards and five TDs while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 10 rushing touchdowns on the season. Another player making a difference was Antonio Combs, who rushed for 27 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fairfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 353 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Holt, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Pickens Academy 39-7. The high-scoring effort was just what the Ironmen needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Holt moved to 3-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Fairfield, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Everything came up roses for Fairfield against Holt in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 35-7 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ironmen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
