Baseball Recap: Kenston Forest Drops Highest Score of Season Against Brunswick Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kenston Forest). They were the clear victors by a 24-2 margin over the Brunswick Academy Vikings on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Kavaliers, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Graham Sledd made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Ransom Clarke was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Connor Parker was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and two RBI.

Kenston Forest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .619. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brunswick Academy only posted an OBP of .333.

Kenston Forest's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.3 runs over those games.
