Volleyball Recap: Everman Comes Up Short

Everman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Cleburne Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-10.

Zyriah Kelly paced Everman's offense, picking up ten kills. Kelly got some help from Cyeli Andrews and her 20 assists.

Everman's loss dropped their record down to 9-17-1. As for Cleburne, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 14-20.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Everman will square off against rival Joshua at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cleburne is set to challenge their familiar foe Mansfield Summit at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
