Lamar had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 43-7 victory over the Plano West Wolves. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-0.

Leading Lamar to victory were Kelton Barney and Gannon Carey. Barney rushed for 193 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while Carey rushed for 68 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries.
