Baseball Recap: Silverton Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Silverton won against Redmond last Thursday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Foxes put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 13-1 win. The Foxes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Silverton's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Redmond, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Coming up, Silverton will host West Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Redmond, they will head out on the road to face off against Pendleton at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
