Baseball Recap: Morgan Comes Up Short

Morgan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-4 to the Crooksville Ceramics, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Surprisingly, this marked the Raiders' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Morgan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Baker, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI. Landan Gheen was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Crooksville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-11.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Morgan is set to take on their familiar foe West Muskingum at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Crooksville will face off against rival Tri-Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
