Basketball Recap: Calhoun Takes a Loss

Calhoun lost against Tyler back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Calhoun Red Devils lost 69-44 to the Tyler Knights. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Tyler to victory were Riley Stover and Katie Grimm. Stover went 6-for-11 on her way to 19 points and five steals, while Grimm posted 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Those 19 points gave Stover a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jules Lattea, who had six points along with 11 boards and three blocks.

Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Tyler, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calhoun and Wahama will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Tyler, they are taking a road trip to challenge South Harrison at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
