Alpharetta is 9-1 against North Atlanta since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Alpharetta Raiders will head out on the road to take on the North Atlanta Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 18 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Alpharetta and five for North Atlanta.

Last Friday, Alpharetta had to suffer through a 82-25 loss at the hands of North Forsyth. While losing is never fun, Alpharetta can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 501st, while North Forsyth is ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, North Atlanta played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Lambert and fell 67-29. The Warriors were down 62-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Alpharetta's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for North Atlanta, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Alpharetta took a serious blow against North Atlanta in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 51-22. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of North Atlanta's Ayumi Abraham, who almost dropped a triple-double on 13 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals. Now that Alpharetta knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
