Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Makes It 11 in a Row on the Road

Heritage Christian waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They claimed a resounding 46-17 victory over the Gilpin County Eagles. Heritage Christian pushed the score to 38-11 by the end of the third, a deficit Gilpin County had little chance of recovering from.

Heritage Christian pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.2 points per game. As for Gilpin County, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Heritage Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Clear Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Heritage Christian is facing Clear Creek at the right time seeing as Clear Creek is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Gilpin County, they will head out on the road to challenge St. Mary's Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gilpin County's defense has only allowed 28.1 points per game this season, so St. Mary's Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
