Soccer Recap: Hayward Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hayward can now relate to. They fell 5-3 to the Rice Lake Warriors on Thursday. Hayward haven't had much luck with Rice Lake recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Nathan Lindsay and Adel Amparo scored all three of Hayward's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Hayward's loss dropped their record down to 4-8-4. As for Rice Lake, their victory ended a five-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9-1.

Hayward does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rice Lake, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against St. Croix Central on the 25th.
