Preview: S & S Consolidated Rams vs. Saint Jo Panthers
S & S Consolidated has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Saint Jo Panthers at 11:00 a.m.
Last Tuesday, S & S Consolidated was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-44 to Paradise. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for S & S Consolidated in their matchups with Paradise: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Saint Jo entered their tilt with Alvord with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Saint Jo walked away with a 71-58 victory over Alvord on Wednesday. Given Saint Jo's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Alvord is ranked 1180th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
S & S Consolidated's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Saint Jo, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-7.
