Recap: Huntingdon Mustangs vs. Butler Lynx
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marshall County, the Huntingdon Mustangs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They secured a 56-50 W over Butler.
When it comes to explaining why Butler lost, one person who can't be blamed is Danny Bennett. Despite the final result, he scored 33 points. The matchup was Bennett's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Denim Fields was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Huntingdon's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Butler, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Huntingdon will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Westview at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Butler will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Grayslake North at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th.
