Baseball Game Preview: Lone Peak Knights vs. Lehi Pioneers

For the second straight game, Lone Peak will face off against Lehi. The Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Pioneers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Lone Peak took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Lehi 11-3. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their two-run performance the match before.

Caleb Cathey was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Braden Packer, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Lone Peak was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lehi only posted a batting average of .200.

Lone Peak's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10. As for Lehi, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.
