Softball Recap: Lawrence North Wildcats vs. Carmel Greyhounds
After flying high against Beech Grove last Saturday, Lawrence North came back down to earth. The Wildcats took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carmel Greyhounds on Tuesday. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Victoria Guyse was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. Keyauri Jones also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Lawrence North now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Carmel, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.
Looking ahead, Lawrence North will venture away from home to challenge Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Carmel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Noblesville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
