Volleyball Game Preview: Schulenburg Shorthorns vs. Louise Hornets

Schulenburg is a perfect 10-0 against Louise since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Shorthorns will venture away from home to square off against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Schulenburg came up short against Flatonia and fell 3-1. The Shorthorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Schulenburg ultimately came up short, they really made Flatonia work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17, 23-25, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Louise had to endure a five-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Ganado on Tuesday.

Louise was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-8, 25-12, 25-12.

Louise's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 17-15. As for Schulenburg, their loss dropped their record down to 25-14.

Everything went Schulenburg's way against Louise in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Schulenburg made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shorthorns since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
