Baseball Recap: Solorio Finds Home Field Redemption Against Jones

There's no place like home for Solorio, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Jones Eagles on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Sun Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Solorio got a great performance from Tony Bautista as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Bautista has become a key player for the Sun Warriors: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-10 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Keiber Hernandez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydiel Salgado, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Solorio's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Jones, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
