Baseball Recap: Riverside-Durham Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Riverside-Durham got themselves on the board against Roxboro Community on Monday, but Roxboro Community never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Pirates have won three matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Cameron Harper was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in February of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Riverside-Durham got a massive performance out of Braxton Kruhm, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave Kruhm a new career-high. Brayden Mottola was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Riverside-Durham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roxboro Community only posted an OBP of .167.

Riverside-Durham pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Roxboro Community, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Riverside-Durham has already played their next game, a 9-0 victory against Southern School of Energy and Sustainability on the 12th. As for Roxboro Community, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-0 loss against Riverside-Durham on the 14th.
