Primero waltzed into their match on Thursday with 14 straight wins... but they left with 15. They claimed a resounding 66-23 victory over the Aguilar Wildcats. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season.

Mat Pachorek was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Brett Kendall also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Aguilar lost, don't look at Matthew Gonzales. Despite the final result, he posted ten points in addition to six boards and three blocks. That was a full 43.5% of Aguilar's points, marking the third time in a row Gonzales has scored more than a third of the team's points.

Primero pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points over those games. As for Aguilar, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Primero will head out on the road to face off against Manzanola at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Aguilar, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-51 defeat against Walsenburg on the 14th.
