It was a good run, but Pleasanton unfortunately witnessed the end of their 18-game winning streak on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (3-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Pleasanton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erik Coronado, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Pleasanton's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 24-4. As for Uvalde, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-7-2.

Pleasanton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-1 win against Ingram Moore on the 26th. As for Uvalde, they will face off against John F. Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
