Volleyball Recap: Greenback Comes Up Short

Greenback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oakdale Eagles. The Cherokees were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in September of 2022.

Greenback's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Oakdale, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenback will head out to challenge Maryville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oakdale, they will challenge Oliver Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
