Volleyball Recap: Harrison Central Comes Up Short

Harrison Central came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Barnesville Shamrocks. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Shamrocks: they've now lost nine in a row.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-10, 25-11.

Harrison Central's offense was headlined by Hannah Grady and Ava Conley, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Leah Grady and her six assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Harrison Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Barnesville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season.

Harrison Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Martins Ferry on the 2nd. As for Barnesville, they will host Wellsville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
