Softball Recap: Elko Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Elko's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Faith Lutheran Crusaders on Saturday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Elko's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Faith Lutheran, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Elko will face off against Wooster at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Faith Lutheran, they will challenge Doral Academy Red Rock at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
