If Lampasas was feeling good fresh off their 62-31 takedown of Brady last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lampasas Badgers took a 50-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mineral Wells Rams on Friday. The Badgers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kahlea Samples was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds for Mineral Wells. That makes it three consecutive games in which Samples has scored at least a third of Mineral Wells' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Moore, who posted seven points and three steals.

Lampasas' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Mineral Wells, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Lampasas will head out on the road to take on Waco at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mineral Wells, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Marion at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
