Recap: Brandon Bulldogs vs. Meridian Wildcats
The Brandon Bulldogs lost against the Meridian Wildcats last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Brandon fell to Meridian 56-51.
Brandon's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nate White, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ottis Harrison, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Brandon's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Meridian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.
Brandon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Meridian, they will play host again and welcome Gulfport, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Meridian is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Mississippi (they are ranked 20th, while Gulfport is ranked 135th).
