Basketball Recap: Henderson Takes a Loss

Henderson was the 48-45 winner over Gilmer when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Henderson Lions fell just short of the Gilmer Buckeyes by a score of 55-52 on Friday.

Henderson's loss was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Gilmer, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-10.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Henderson Lions challenge the Spring Hill Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gilmer, they will head out on the road to square off against Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Gilmer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
