Basketball Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss

Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the New Britain Golden Hurricanes, falling 84-23. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 93-31 back in December of 2025.

Middletown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for New Britain, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0.

Coincidentally, Middletown and New Britain will both be playing Maloney the next time they take the court. The Blue Dragons will host the Spartans at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, while the Golden Hurricanes will head out to face them at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
